General Purpose of the Job

Invo Healthcare is looking for a Vice President of People Services to define the strategies we will use to grow our team.  The leader in this role must understand Invo’s business priorities and translate them into an HR agenda that supports Invo Healthcare’s strategy creative approaches to build, develop, and support our growing team as we enter a new phase.   The role will be the most senior people-related role in the organization and will be responsible for partnering with the COO and other Executives to

  • Assess the human resources needs in areas such as talent acquisition, employment brand, onboarding and offboarding, performance management, employee relations, benefits and compensation, career development and leadership and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas.
  • Design, build, implement, measure and scale our talent management programs, including performance management, recognition, retention, promotion and succession planning across the entire organization.
  • Lead engagement initiatives coming from the business or emerging from engagement survey data.
  • Lead and continue to build a strong team of Recruiters and People Services Professionals.
  • Lead change initiatives designed to drive organizational effectiveness, productivity, growth and development through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
  • Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide leadership and perspective on the impact on people.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic HR plan and prioritize and implement key HR initiatives in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate the organization’s current people-related practices and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance.
  • Partner with the Leadership Team to conduct a needs assessment for learning and development programs to ensure learning and skill development occurs regularly across all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and evaluate appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of the organization, including employee relations, affirmative action, sexual harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development.
  • Maintain knowledge of National and State-level HR policies, programs, laws and issues to inform HR and Operations policies and procedures.
  • Structure and develop the HR team to provide maximum benefit to the organization while simultaneously building team capabilities.
  • Identify, deploy and measure effective recruiting strategies to support the recruiting team’s efforts to meet Invo’s current and future hiring needs.
  • Drive executive recruiting strategy, including directly owning key searches for critical leadership positions.
  • Deploy forecasting, reporting and analytics rigor to track key people services metrics and measure progress against organizational metrics and targets.
  • Oversee the management of the human resource information database (HRIS) and production of necessary reports for critical analyses of the HR function and the people resources of the organization.
  • Provide counsel, coaching, and training to hiring managers in the areas of supervision, employee relations, performance management, employee morale and engagement, learning and development, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Manage the department budget as well as employee compensation budget.
  • Continually assesses the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/Organizational Development/Business or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Development or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of experience, majority in an HR Business Partner role
  • SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire
  • Experience in Behavior Analytics a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective Change Management programs and/or solutions
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide HR and talent management programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, data analytics and relationship management required
  • HR expertise, especially in the areas of communication, critical evaluation, consultation, business acumen, cultural awareness, leadership and navigation, and ethical practice required
  • Experience managing HR professionals and the recruiting function, including all areas of sourcing such as the internet, social media, networking, employee referrals, job postings, as well as conducting open houses and virtual job fairs
  • Demonstrated expertise providing executive coaching, training and development to senior-level leaders with a focus on leadership growth
  • Demonstrated organization, problem solving and decision-making skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong presentation and facilitation skills with ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced small organization. The ability to be productive and successful in an intense work environment is critical. Willingness and ability to travel domestically on occasion is required.
